How do I get a quote for insurance coverage?
You can get a quote three ways:

1. You can call Big Dan's Insurance Agency anytime during normal business hours at 916-334-5773 and get a quote from an Agent.

2. You can stop in at Big Dan's Insurance Agency anytime during normal business hours and get a quote from an Agent.

3. You can submit your quote request using our online quote form that when completed can be e-mailed to Big Dan's Insurance Agency. You will receive an e-mail response containing a quote within 24 business hours.

How much coverage do I need?
The minimum acceptable amount of automobile insurance you must maintain to be legal in the State of California is $15,000 per person, $30,000 per occurrence, and $5,000 property damage coverage (15/30/5). Your individual situation determines if this minimum insurance is adequate for your requirements. Without knowing more about you, Big Dan's Insurance Agency cannot answer this question adequately. Will I need to come into the office?
You will need to come into the office to finalize insurance coverage. We need to verify your vehicle ID and ownership, as well as your driver's license information. You will need to come into the office to add a driver, or to add coverage to a vehicle. There are some things you can change by downloading our change forms and faxing, emailing, or physicaly bringing them back to us, i.e., a change of address and/or phone number. How do I obtain proof of insurance?
Your insurance carrier should mail you proof of insurance and other important documents. If you do not receive these items within a few days after purchasing insurance, use our Customer Service page to find and contact your insurance company directly.


When is my bill due or how much is due this month?
Every insurance carrier has their own procedure. Your bill will indicate the date and amount of your bill and the terms and conditions. Your bill should also have a customer service number available for your questions. If you have questions or difficulty in contacting your insurance company, contact Big Dan's Insurance Agency for assistance.

How do I make changes to my insurance policy?
Contact your Company or Big Dan's Insurance Agency before making any changes. You may be able to do this over the phone or by downloading and returning a form to our office. Your agent will be able to advise you the most convenient and cost effective method for your circumstance..

Why did my rate increase/decrease?

How do I report a claim?
Your insurance company should be contacted immediately and as soon as possible following a claim related incident. Our Customer Service page has a listing for your insurance company's contact information.

What are my obligations in an accident?
You must provide your driver's license information and insurance carrier and policy number to the other party at the scene of an accident. The other party, in turn, must also provide same to you. If the police are at the scene and do (or do not) take a report, make sure you have the other party's information before the police leave the scene.
